Protein binding affinity prediction for small molecules
- Developed a model system to allow the users to automatically predict the binding affinities and the access of interactions within the small molecules (protein engineering).
- Worked on large data and used cloud computing.
- Achieved the PCCs scoring of 0.85 in blind test set.
CircRNA-disease association prediction
- Built a system using Graph Convolutional Neural Network on deep learning to predict the association between CircRNA and disease (large data of human RNA sequences).
- Achieved the AUC of 97% in blind testing.
Automated Selection the region of interest on bone marrow aspiration
- Built a system to locate the area of interest where the majority of cells are located prior to cell identification for a quick response to find the treatment for patients in clinical usage (image processing).

At Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC)
Responsible for maintaining the nutrition and desserts in high quality, while working long hours and managing a heavy workload alongside a renowned pastry chef to create desserts for all events hosted at BCEC.
Research Assistant
- Responsible for organizing all paperwork, including writing a research paper for publication, for the project developing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) for computer-aided diagnosis to detect and differentiate between benign and malignant breast lesions in medical devices.
- Created a research plan with doctors and specialists on breast cancer and the process to differentiate between benign and malignant tumors, ensuring project assurance and constructing a timeline.
- Developed and evaluated an algorithm to detect breast lesions in collaboration with other researchers on the team.
AND
- Developed and implemented an algorithm for an AI to detect areas of interest in bone marrow aspiration and determine the presence of cancer in the bone marrow.
- Identified all cell types in blood smears collected, distinguishing between normal and cancerous cells.
- Responsible for organizing all paperwork and writing multiple research papers for this project.
- Collaborated with multiple doctors to develop a reliable algorithm for future clinical diagnosis.
Research Assistant (volunteer)
- Collaborated on a project studying the effects of biological gases produced by the intestinal microbial community on aging and age-related diseases.
- Separated flies by age and gender, and prepared them for crossings to obtain experimental flies that under- and over-expressed genes of interest, specifically redox-regulating enzymes called peroxiredoxins.
- Prepared Parkinson’s disease fly models for experiments and collected materials for microbiome studies.
- Studied the Western blot technique to analyze various redox states of proteins.
